Your mission

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you design, operate, and evolve the cloud infrastructure that powers our products — reliable, secure, and built to scale. You drive automation, own platform reliability, and make sure our services run smoothly in production.

What you'll do

Cloud infrastructure & platform

• Design and operate scalable Azure cloud architectures for our product landscape
• Manage and evolve our Kubernetes environments (AKS), including cluster management, networking, and storage
• Build and maintain backup and disaster recovery services
• Ensure scalability, stability, and security standards across all cloud environments

Automation & IaC

• Infrastructure-as-Code with Pulumi, Terraform, and Bicep
• Automate deployments and operational tasks via scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for Kubernetes deployments
• CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps pipelines

Cloud-native data services

• Operate and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) in cloud-native environments
• Manage message brokers (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or similar)
• Design cloud networking: VPCs/VNets, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, VPN

Monitoring & observability

• Build and run monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
• Create dashboards and alerting concepts for production and staging
• Incident analysis and troubleshooting in distributed cloud environments

What makes you successful in this role

• Several years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably on Azure (AKS, Service Bus, Azure Monitor, App Services)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS) — from image design to cluster administration
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi, Terraform, Bicep) and GitOps (ArgoCD)
• Cloud networking know-how: VPCs/VNets, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, VPN
• Experience with cloud-native data services: PostgreSQL, MySQL, message brokers
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP as an additional cloud provider is a plus
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python) for automating operational tasks
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking — you find a way, even when things get tricky
• Structured, self-driven approach with a genuine hands-on mentality
• Fluent in English and German at B2 level or above

*The minimum gross salary for this position is € 3104 per month (full-time, 38.5h/week). The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
