Assembly Technician (m/w/d) - #34052
VectaCore
Datum: vor 1 Woche
Stadt: Wels, Oberösterreich
Vertragstyp: Ganztags
What You Can Expect
As an Assembly Technician, it’s your hands that actually build our flight systems—mechanical assembly, electronic integration, and functional preparation - all in full compliance with future EASA POA requirements.
For this position we offer a gross annual salary starting from € 55.000,00 on a full-time basis. Depending on your qualifications and experience, overpayment is a given for us.
About Us
We are VectaCore. A European-owned technology company building unmanned systems (UxV's) for the air, water, and land. As a young company with a fast-growing team backed by the PIERER Digital Holding, we replace manual inspection, transport, and monitoring in industries like critical infrastructure and public safety. We do this because we believe the people who secure, protect, and build our world deserve uncompromising autonomy across every domain.
As an Assembly Technician, it’s your hands that actually build our flight systems—mechanical assembly, electronic integration, and functional preparation - all in full compliance with future EASA POA requirements.
- You assemble our UxV systems according to documented work instructions—structural assembly, propulsion integration, wiring harness installation, electronics integration, and payload assembly.
- You build strictly according to the approved configuration—no improvisation, no undocumented replacement parts, no “we’ll fix it later.”
- You maintain a complete build record for each unit—serial numbers, component traceability, work step approvals. The build record is a certification document.
- You perform functional and acceptance tests (FAT) according to defined test procedures before the unit is sent to Quality Assurance for approval.
- You report any deviation immediately through our formal channel, which is protected by Just Culture.
- You consistently adhere to tool calibration, ESD protection, and FOD (foreign object debris) discipline.
- Education: Completed apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician, electrical technician, mechanic, or comparable technical training. Additional qualifications in aerospace assembly or EASA Part 21G awareness are a strong plus.
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on assembly experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical technology). Experience with documented work instructions and build records is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on assembly skills (mechanical and electronic). Soldering according to IPC standards (knowledge of IPC-A-610 is a plus). Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Proficiency with ERP/MES terminals on the production floor.
- Regulatory Understanding: Understanding of why build compliance and traceability are critical in a certified environment. ESD and FOD discipline. Familiarity with just-culture reporting systems.
- Languages: Working-level German required; basic English skills helpful for technical documentation.
- Attitude: Conscientious and honest—reports a dropped screw instead of hiding it. Meticulous, takes pride in build quality. Prefers to ask for clarification rather than improvise when an instruction doesn’t match reality.
- A key role in setting up our mass production—the quality of your assembly work directly impacts the safety of our systems
- An environment where honest error reporting is protected rather than punished (Just Culture)
- Direct contact with engineering and quality assurance—your feedback influences actual design decisions
- Modern workshop equipment, calibrated tools, structured onboarding
- Short decision-making processes and open doors are standard practice here. Your ideas won't get lost in bureaucracy; they'll be heard, discussed, and implemented.
- The tech world never stands still, and neither will you. We support your personal and professional development (certifications, conferences, courses) with a dedicated budget and paid time off.
For this position we offer a gross annual salary starting from € 55.000,00 on a full-time basis. Depending on your qualifications and experience, overpayment is a given for us.
