Your role at Dynatrace

We build, maintain, and support the customer‑facing JavaScript agent that collects web data for Real User Monitoring (RUM).You'll join a highly skilled team that owns the agent end‑to‑end. As an entry‑level engineer, you'll contribute to real features, learn our codebase and practices, and grow quickly through mentorship-working on implementation, testing, performance, and maintainability together as one team.

What Will Help You Succeed

A strong interest in technology and a willingness to continuously learn new things Technical studies related to Computer Science or similar experience Fluent in Java, and open to other programming languages and frameworks Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Interest in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform Admin experience (bash scripting, system maintenance) is a plus Hands-on team player with high quality standards Curious and innovative mindset with a bias towards action.

Your Role:

  • Implement and enhance features in our TypeScript‑based web agent with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Improve maintainability, performance, and footprint while keeping compatibility in mind.
  • Write reliable tests (Vitest, Playwright) and use our toolchain (esbuild, ESLint, internal tooling).
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews; learn how we plan and deliver iteratively.
  • Communicate progress proactively and ask questions early - curiosity is very welcome here.

What Will Help You Succeed:

  • HTL graduate or similar background (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Solid JS/TS fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of unit/E2E testing and an interest in browser topics.
  • A clean‑code mindset and an eye for performance.
  • Friendly, open communication and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience with Agile practices and drive continuously improve.
  • Language: English (German is a plus)

Compensation And Rewards

  • We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
  • Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to list a salary range for this position, which is €46,000 up to €66,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week). We’ve listed the salary range for transparency, but if your experience and skills bring unique value, we’d still love to hear from you—please apply even if you’re outside the range.
