Would you like to co-develop firmware for a new mechatronic product – close to hardware, with clear responsibility for bootloader, firmware architecture and update strategies?
In the SmartPocket development team, you will work on embedded software on microcontroller systems that are used directly in a mobile robotics environment.

In the SmartPocket development team, you will work on embedded software on microcontroller systems that are used directly in a mobile robotics environment.
What you'll be handling:
- Development of embedded firmware in C on microcontroller systems
- Hardware-related programming (drivers, peripherals, interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, ...)
- Responsibility for the update process (bootloader, firmware, OTA)
- Collaboration with hardware and test development (commissioning, debugging)
- Development and execution of firmware tests (e.g. unit tests at module level, integration tests on the target system), including analysis of measurement results and logs
- Design and maintenance of the firmware Architecture
- Completed education in the field of computer science, software design, mechatronics, automation technology or similar.
- Several years of professional experience is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of C for Embedded / Firmware Development
- Understanding of HW-related software development
- Good written and spoken German and English skills (at least B2 level in each case)
- Participation in an agile development team, latitude, clear objectives and regular feedback
- Good transport connections, free parking, shuttle service to the train station and between TGW locations, e-bikes, etc.
