Subregional Head of Security - #27803

About the Role

As Subregional Head of Security, you will lead and execute the security strategy across the subregion, ensuring the protection of Digital Realty’s assets, compliance with global standards, and uninterrupted operations. Reporting to the Regional Director of Security, you will act as a key advisor to leadership while managing security operations, risks, and a high-performing team across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement security strategy and global policies across the subregion
• Oversee security operations, incident management, and risk mitigation
• Manage and develop Security Managers and external vendors, ensuring strong performance
• Own security budgets, vendor selection, and cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with ISO, SOC2, PCI and other regulatory standards
• Oversee physical security systems (CCTV, access control, biometrics) and site protection
• Lead audits, reporting, and customer-facing security activities
• Drive continuous improvement of security processes and resilience

Your Profile

• Proven experience in security leadership across multiple sites or regions
• Strong expertise in risk management, security operations, and compliance frameworks
• Experience managing security vendors and outsourced services
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in English; relevant degree and/or ASIS CPP (or equivalent) preferred
• Resilient, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a complex matrix organization
