Are you an experienced HSEQ professional ready to take on a high-profile international project? We are seeking a HSEQ Advisor, based in Ireland or Europe, to join us on a contract basis supporting the delivery of a major data centre construction project in Austria.
Working at the forefront of a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, you will partner closely with Project Management, Construction and Supply Chain teams to drive excellence in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the successful, safe and compliant delivery of a large-scale data centre build, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Previous experience within data centre, utilities, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
Location: Linz, Austria
Contract Type: 9-Month Fixed Term Contract
Working Hours/Days: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promote a strong proactive safety culture across the project.
- Monitor compliance with local legislation, client standards and company HSEQ procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
- Review RAMS, lift plans, method statements and permit documentation.
- Completion of Construction Stage Plans, Pre-Qualification & Tender Documents, Emergency Response Plans etc.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSEQ reports.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Development of the HSEQT Management system, in line with OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001), ISO 9001,ISO 14001.
- Monitor environmental compliance and good housekeeping standards.
- Promote sustainable construction practices where practical.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
Essential
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate minimum).
- Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems and high-risk construction activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work within multinational contractor environments.
- Strong organisational and reporting capability.
- Fluent English language skills.
Desirable
- Previous data centre or mission critical project experience.
- Experience working in Europe on live construction projects.
- Environmental or quality qualifications/certifications.
- IOSH Membership / GradIOSH / TechIOSH.
- Knowledge of Austrian or EU construction safety regulations.
- First Aid or Fire Marshal training.
