Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the development of corrosion protection, sealing, and tightness (plug & sealing systems) within complete vehicle development projects, with focus on Body-in-White (BiW), doors, closures, and glazing.
• Technical development and ownership of corrosion and sealing concepts across the vehicle body scope.
• Identification of technical requirements based on customer requests
• Creation of system- and component-level specifications for vehicle body and related subsystems.
• Estimation of engineering workload and resource needs for defined development scopes, including technical coordination in customer-facing meetings.
• Support of development and validation strategies, ensuring implementation through all project phases up to SOP and production readiness.
• Co-responsibility for CAD reviews and approval recommendations for structural and sealing-related solutions.
• Coordination of technical topics within international project teams and alignment with OEM customers.
  
  

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in complete vehicle development with focus on corrosion protection, sealing, and tightness in SOP projects.
• Strong proficiency in CAD tools: CATIA V5/V6 and/or Siemens NX.
• Solid understanding of sealing and plug design, including relevant manufacturing, joining, and assembly processes.
• Experience in vehicle corrosion protection design and implementation.
• Good knowledge of OEM standards, methods, and engineering processes in BiW, sealing, and corrosion domains.
• Very good English communication skills, including direct customer interaction.
• Willingness to work on-site in Graz, Austria during the onboarding phase (mandatory). After onboarding, hybrid work is possible depending on project phase and customer agreement.
• German language skills are an advantage
